ELIGIBILITY: The Free Electricity For A Year Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to those who, at time of entry, are 21 or older and are legal residents of the United States including Washington, DC but excluding residents of Florida and New York. Officers, directors, employees and agents of SmartEnergy Holdings, LLC (the “Sponsor”), as well as any members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling and child) and persons living in the same household, and the respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, marketing and promotional partners, retailers, vendors and advertising and promotional agencies of Sponsor are ineligible to enter. Void in Florida and New York and where prohibited by law.

SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY PERIODS: Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on February 1, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on July 31, 2026 (the “Sweepstakes Entry Period”). Sweepstakes Entry Period consists of six (6) Monthly Entry Periods.

HOW TO ENTER: Entry Method #1 (Online Entry): Visit https://smartenergy.com/sweepstakes/ and follow all onscreen instructions to complete the online entry in its entirety and submit so it is received during an applicable Monthly Entry Period. Entry Method #2 (Toll-Free Number): Call the toll-free number listed from any sweepstakes announcement you may have received in the mail or seen via email, by text, on social media or on any other advertising method.  Follow all instructions to speak with a customer representative during a given Monthly Sweepstakes Entry Period. Entry Method #3 (Live or In-Person Event): If offered at a live/in-person event, follow all instructions provided by onsite personnel to enter. Method #4 (Call from SmartEnergy): If you receive a phone call inviting you to enter, follow all entry instructions given to you by the phone representative. For Methods #1, #2, #3 and #4, your entry must be received between the first day and by 11:59 p.m. ET on the last day during a given month to qualify for a given Monthly Prize drawing. If you enroll for SmartEnergy, your name (and Prize ID # if applicable) will be entered into the monthly random drawing(s) for which it qualifies and automatically into subsequent monthly random drawings, if any. If you do not enroll for SmartEnergy, your name (and Prize ID# if applicable) will be entered into the monthly random drawing(s) for which it qualifies. To enter subsequent monthly random drawings, if any, you will need to enter by mail, (e.g., Entry Method #5).  Entry Method #5 (“Mail-in Entry”):  On a postcard, hand print your name, Prize ID # (if available if the Sweepstakes offer you received), address, e-mail address and telephone number. Affix proper postage and mail it to: Free Electricity For A Year Sweepstakes Entries, P.O. Box 9329, Medford, NY 11763-9329. Your Mail-in Entry must be postmarked during a given Monthly Entry Period and received seven (7) days thereafter.

Limit: Regardless of enrollment status or entry method, there is a limit of one (1) entry per person or Prize ID (if applicable) for any given Monthly Entry Period. If your entry method includes a Prize ID#, you will need to provide/submit your Prize ID# at time of call/entry. The Sponsor and/or its designated agent(s) reserves the right to reject any Prize ID # deemed ineligible in their sole discretion. In the event more than one Prize ID # is received from any one home address, the first Prize ID# processed will be considered the only valid Entry received. No mechanical reproduction permitted. Sponsor is not liable for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, postage due mail, or corrupted Entries whether due to a technical error or otherwise. Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

If during any Monthly Entry Period, no eligible entries are received for its respective monthly drawing, that monthly prize will be awarded as an additional prize in the following monthly drawing provided a sufficient number of entries are received for that Monthly Entry Period, if any. If no entries are received for the last Monthly Entry Period, then the final monthly prize will be awarded from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Entry Period.

PRIZES: (6) Prizes will be awarded (i.e., one (1) prize per monthly random drawing). Each winner will receive up to $1,500.00 towards the winner’s annual electricity expenses. All prizes will be awarded as a corporate check. Limit: one prize per home address. Total value of all prizes: $9,000.00.

WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION: Each Monthly Entry Period’s random drawing will be conducted within approximately seven (7) days after the conclusion of each given Monthly Entry Period. All random drawings will be conducted under supervision of an independent judging organization (“judges”) whose decisions are final. Each potential winner will be notified by email, text and/or US mail. If a potential winner originates from the phone entries, he/she must be able to receive calls/text messages from an unlisted/blocked number and must respond within five (5) days from the date of notification with his/her contact information needed for verification purposes or he/she will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected in a separate random drawing. Each potential Winner will be required to complete, sign and return Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability and Publicity documents(s) which must be signed, notarized and returned within seven (7) business days of date printed on notification or winner will be disqualified. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, or a prize notification is returned as undeliverable or if a selected winner cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason, or if the winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, the corresponding prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner in a separate random drawing.   If after three (3) total attempts, (i.e., winner initially selected plus two alternates), a potential monthly winner is not confirmed for a given Monthly Entry Period, the corresponding prize will be awarded to a charity of Sponsor’s choice. Prizes are non-assignable and non-transferable except to a surviving spouse. Winners are responsible for any federal, state, local, income taxes and incidentals expenses on prize as well as the reporting of prize winnings to the IRS.  Prizes awarded within approximately thirty (30) days after winner verification.

Except where prohibited by law, entry and acceptance of prize constitute permission for Sponsor and its agents to use each winner’s name, prize won, hometown, likeness, video tape, photographs, testimonials, and statements for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity (including online posting) in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission.

ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received per Monthly Entry Period.

RELEASE: Participating entrants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges and the Sponsor, and release the Sponsor, its respective parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and any other individual or company involved in the development or execution of the Sweepstakes as well as the employees, officers, directors, agents and shareholders of each, from all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses of any kind to persons (including death) and property which may be sustained in connection with either directly or indirectly, 1) the awarding, receipt, ownership, use or misuse of a prize awarded herein; or 2) participation in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor is not responsible if Sweepstakes cannot take place or if any prize cannot be awarded due to cancellations, delays or interruptions due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather or acts of terrorism. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prizes.

GENERAL: By participating in the Sweepstakes, you: (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements; and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of Sponsor and judges, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to permanently disqualify any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules.

In the event of a dispute over the identity of an entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the “Authorized Account Holder” of the telephone number submitted at time of entry. Authorized Account Holder means the natural person who is assigned to telephone number by a telephone number provide or other organization(s) that is responsible for assigning telephone numbers. Entry materials/data, including Prize ID #s that have been tampered with or altered, or mass entries, or entries generated by a script, macro or use of automated devices are void. The Sponsor is not responsible for: (i) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems, or (ii) any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s telephone related to or resulting from participating in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel the Sweepstakes if it becomes technically corrupted such that, in Sponsor’s sole determination, the method of entry cannot be conducted as originally planned and to select winner(s) from among all eligible entries received prior to withdrawal. Legal Warning: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN individual, whether or not an ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE, destroy, tamper OR interfere with the OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS and THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES and diligently pursue all remedies against ANY SUCH individual TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
